New Anglican Church and Campus Ministry to launch in Muncie, Indiana
The Brothers of the Canons Regular of the Order of St. Michael the Archangel (OSM) are pleased to announce the launch of St. George the Dragonslayer Anglican Church, and a chapter of St. Raphael’s Campus Ministry, in Muncie, Indiana in late August of 2012. A suitable facility has been located and the leasing details will be finalized by July 20th. The facility is within walking distance to the campus of Ball State University.
This will be the sixth new church plant since the formation of St. Michael the Archangel in January of 2007. The Order still maintains three of these churches located in Anderson (St. Anne’s), in Nashville (St. Matthew’s) and in Noblesville (St. Patrick’s). St. Paul’s in Greenfield and Christ the King in Kokomo still are thriving, but function as diocesan churches and who are connected, but independent of the Order of St. Michael.
The Canons Regular of the Order of St. Michael the Archangel (www.StMichaelAnglican.com) is an Order for men and women within the Anglican Church in North America, and is connected with the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes, the Right Reverend Roger Ames, Bishop. Membership in the Order is not restricted to locally, but open to anyone in the Anglican Church of North America.
